Hi there! I think this submission is quite late regarding the day I got the award :'>
I really think that getting an award at a website like this is pretty ego-boosting lol
but I'm not posting this entry because of that, though XD
Well anw, I'll start :3
I've recently joined pixoto.com... and you're beginning to ask "what is this shit she's talking about?"
Pixoto.com is a site where photographers, designers, or perhaps illustrators (still mostly photographers, though) post their works
if in Deviantart.com the users are called a deviants, in pixoto all the users are called players.
These players, mostly being photographers, then submit their work online and it will then be up for an imageduel.
In the imageduels, you will be given points and your photo could be the winner; like say best of the day, or best of the week. Even best of the month if possible.
at some point too, some cash will be given out to some players. Case and scenarios applies in this case.
these duels are, of course, done by a lot of people in the world. In short, your photo will be known and will be graded in an instant in comparison with the other picture.
if it pleases the player's eye, then they will give the vote. This is the part where I get a feel of degradation.
and yet I braved myself to submit some images from my dA up there, not expecting it to be good or anything.
My other photographer friends did tell me to boost it up, though, so I could get an award and so I did...

and in the morning, I got an email saying
"Notifications from Pixoto:
Congratulations Tara!
The Pixoto community has seen your work and they love it!! So much so that you have won some bling for your profile."
and I shit you none, I fucking FLIPPED out of my chair that morning

I just got back from Malaysia and shit and this is the first thing that comes on my screen.
