I dont know why im submitting my midterm stuff here, but i cant help my excitement from being able to make something finally animated lol
so here you go... the simplest as it goes ._.
for those of you who are wondering where I got the soundtrack from, it is from here www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PtAf3…
please give the artist a proper credit because they put a lot of effort to make such sentimental music, like say... buy their album or something and that would help a plenty.
UPDATE 9.10 p.m
I managed to upgrade it into 11 seconds in total. At first it was just 3-5 seconds, and then it grows into 7 seconds and then finally I landed on 11seconds for the total of 30 seconds animation assignment. This is still very rough, though so it's going to take a while for this to be completely finished ww~
UPDATE 12/06/13
Managed to upped it until 20 seconds but still not finished yet. the preview image is changed due to the actual thing beginning right after that scene is introduced. Might not tell the full story, though but it will still be updated at a later time.

I managed to get over 30 seconds boundary from the requirements from school
although the whole story is still not finished, but I will need to work on the details of the insides more
I'll pay attention to it laters hahah XD right now if you have any comments regarding the whole thing, then it might be VERY useful
it would be greatly appreciated if you leave a comment or two on this thing > <
given the whole story sequence a temporary title for now. it is still tentative, so do not name it that for now.

This file was corrupted on the 19th of June and the result was me, panicking. Greatly. I do not know how to word it anyway else. I finally finished the sequence although it is still not very polished. Although so, this is the real beginning of the story I had in mind and I am quite happy with the result so far. It's just not that perfect yet, although it would be available for perfection later on.

I might actually and really improve this when I have the time (yes, I know I throw those kinds of bullshit every time but it would usually take years and years for me to have the motivation back lmao). Anw, my file got corrupted because I rushed in the saving; or more like my brush tool went error and I had to close everything before I resume my work. Thus the rush-saving resulted me in a corrupted file. I tried recovering it with a lot of methods; one of those would be converting the file to .zip format and then back to .fla format and it did NOT work.
Thankfully, I was able to download the file from dA --'' (thank heavens for online backups) and continue the rest from there. The ending still looks rough, especially during Ryou's meet with his mother. This is because I rushed a few hours just before the due date. Some sequences are still too fast for my own good --'' I'll put some management to this later on. maybe.

Prologue Synopsis
There dwells a spirit in the village and the said spirit is believed to bring luck and happiness to the people there. However no one has ever seen this spirit in the flesh; except for one. A kid named Ryouichi Miyazaki is a curious kid who loves to roam around every nook and cranny of the village. Nothing has ever stopped him from being curious and that includes his parents. He decided to venture the nearby woods one day and stumbled along a shiny thing in the river. In an attempt to pick it up, he slipped off the rock that he used for support to get said shiny object. That was when the spirit decided to show up and save Ryou from being swept away by the river current into the waterfall at the end of it. After saving Ryou, the spirit did not introduce herself but rather asks for the child's name and she returned Ryou back to his village without further conversation. As Ryou makes his way back to the village, he found something in his pocket and it happens to be the shiny object that he intended to take; a fox-mask jewel that belongs to the spirit herself.
note: I made the use of color purposefully that way; no color at the beginning or village life while during Ryou's meet with the spirit, it was rather colorful. This simply symbolizes that the boy's adventure (or color) will begin when he meets the spirit again. As he sleeps, the color fades away because that is when his adventure begins to fade into reality once again.
